Associative Building - Minihic - Sur- Rance - Fanny Landeau - France

The urban’s need was to build a public infrastructure that hosts an associative space and an extra-curricular space. The project’s shape was born from the desire to attract people and invite them to enter the building. The way the transition between outside and inside areas was drawn makes of this border between inside and out a real meeting space. On the main facade, the walls lean toward the inside of the building in order to generate an outside access hall. The transparent gable walls offer large views on the outside, not only on the urban environment but also on the rural landscape. The simple shape of the infrastructure and the use of local stones and slates make the building perfectly merge into its urban surroundings.
